Description

This episode is a "semi follow-up" to the last episode, where we talked about Process Mining - today's topic is Task Mining (aka Robotics Process Discovery).
Task Mining will bring clarity into what your users do on a procedure level, and can give insights into what might cause a "spike" in your analysis, or fill the holes that you might have in a discovered / mined process (for example when there are manual steps or steps in a system that does not create a log file).
In this episode we spoke about the following topics:

What is task mining (vs. process mining)? What is the information that one gets from task mining?
How to handle procedure-level in models
The "Big Brother" fear that comes with task mining, and how this is mitigated
Benefits of task mining
Steps to a useful application of task mining (how to get to a good analysis)
Hybridized setup of process and task mining - 5 steps to follow
Velocity and throughput analysis (frequencies and times) as a way to identify improvement and (RPA) automation opportunities
What/if analysis in a process/task mining tool vs. (proper) simulation in an architecture tool
Technical integration of task and process mining tools; benefits of using BPMN in mining scenarios
Experiences from a client project
