John Walker Motson, OBE, also known as Motty, is an English football commentator. Beginning as a television commentator with the BBC in 1971, he has commentated on over 2000 games on television and radio.

We talked to John about his early life and discovering his love of football through attending games with his methodist minister father. 

John tells us about those difficult moments in the commentary box and how sometimes he could be a little hard on himself.
