Description

In 1961 John Cage published his first and quite possibly most important collection of writings , “Silence”, a work which contained the composed talk: “Lecture on Nothing”. It's composed similar to a piece of music, with rhythmic markings and pauses, and it contains thoughts by Cage on the pace of human activity, thoughtfulness, meaning and questions about our various routines and existences. This episode of the podcast is very unique because it will feature a 40 minute performance of this work. Obviously we will normally have discussions and segments, but once in a while it's good to break out of the routine to try new things. We hope you enjoy this and thank you for listening!
