Radiology reaches thousands of underserved areas, both at home and abroad, thanks to aid work. Hear personal perspectives of two women who are active in the global health radiology space, how they got started in their work, and some tips on getting involved yourself.
Dr. Katrina McGinty is an alumna of New York Medical College and clinical associate professor of radiology at the University of North Carolina. Her research interests include education and quality improvement in radiology. Val Brod completed her ultrasound training at the University of Colorado and is a staff sonographer at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado, a level one trauma center.
