Description

It is midnight in Cozy Corner and around the world. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and get ready to take a snake sized bite out of the Big Apple because it is time for the Late Night Fright!
Dan and Faith are hard at work on the graveyard shift down at WKMF Cozy Corner Public Radio, bringing you reviews and analysis of the finest fright flicks ever made along with all of the fake news not fit to print!
March is John Carpenter month in Cozy Corner and the fun continues with the master’s 1981 film ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, the movie that established star Kurt Russell (DEATH PROOF, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD) as a leading man and introduced the world to one of filmdom’s quintessential antiheroes, S.D. “Snake” Plissken.
ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK was written by Carpenter and Nick Castle, the screenwriter who famously played “The Shape” in Carpenter’s 1978 masterpiece HALLOWEEN, and produced by Debra Hill. The film is a mashup of the action, horror, and sci-fi genres, moves along at a breakneck pace and really needs to be seen to be believed.
Lee Van Cleef (HIGH NOON, THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY), Donald Pleasance (HALLOWEEN, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE), Ernest Borgnine (MARTY, THE DIRTY DOZEN), Isaac Hayes (SOUTH PARK, I’M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA), Harry Dean Stanton (ALIEN, CHRISTINE) and Adrienne Barbeau (THE FOG, BACK TO SCHOOL) co-star.
