Description
In 1982, filmmaker George A. Romero (Night Of The Living Dead) and author Stephen King (IT, Carrie, The Shining), the masters of terror and the macabre, gave us Creepshow, a horror anthology film inspired by the classic EC Comics of the 1950s and it was the most fun we ever had being scared. In 2019, under the guiding hand of executive producer Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead), Creepshow is back as a six week series streaming exclusively on Shudder.
This week’s inaugural episode includes the stories “Gray Matter”, adapted from a 1973 King short story that is collected in the book Night Shift, and “The House Of The Head” from Birdbox author Josh Malerman.
“Gray Matter” stars Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog, Escape From New York, Swamp Thing), Tobin Bell the Saw series), and Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian). The story was direceted by Greg Nicotero from a teleplay by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi.
“The Head Of The House” stars Cailey Fleming (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and was directed by John Harrison, the composer for the original 1982 film.
The first episode of Shudder’s Creepshow premiered on September 26th, 2019 and is available to watch with a subscription to Shudder.
