This week on the Cut to the Race podcast, Oli is joined by James M, Abby and Sam to discuss the final race weekend of the year - the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

There were mixed emotions throughout the weekend. Whether you were a Lewis Hamilton fan having to relive the events of the previous year, or a fan of any of the four departing drivers (some permanently, some perhaps not) - Daniel Ricciardo, Mick Schumacher, Nicholas Latifi and four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel.

Together, the panel discuss the highlights and major talking points, including the confirmation of Nico Hülkenberg's return, Logan Sargeant securing his spot on the grid, and - of course - the on-track action itself.

Mercedes were looking to build on their first race win of the season last time out in Brazil, but would they or Ferrari be able to take the challenge to the dominant Red Bull team as Max Verstappen looked for a record-extending 15th win of the season.

And then there was the battle for second in the drivers' title. Charles Leclerc and Sergio Pérez came into the race on exactly the same number of points after the controversy of Verstappen refusing to move aside for his teammate in São Paulo.

But only one would come away with the silver medal and it would prove to be a clever bit of strategy from Ferrari (yes, really) that would make the difference.
