For nearly a century, the Murdaugh family have been one of the richest and well-known families in South Carolina. Their wealth comes from the family law-firm, known for personal injury suits. But this year, Alex Murdaugh's wife Maggie and son Paul were killed. At the time, Paul was awaiting trial for a 2019 boat crash that killed his friend.
