Description

From 1974 to 1987, the Smurl family claimed they were tortured by ghosts and demons in their West Pittston, Pennsylvania duplex. Loud banging and scratching in the walls would keep them up at night. Their dog was even being attacked. Journalists, demonologists, and even the Roman Catholic Church got involved. It caught the attention of the media, which resulted in several published articles, a TV movie, and even paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren agreed to consult on the case. Some believe this was the product of untreated health issues, and others believe it was a hoax for fame. What was really going on in the Smurl house and what is the Smurl family up to today?ALSO: Maria has a business idea for ways to make your camping trip extra spooky. Ali bought a canister of oxygen and is not sure about it. —EMAIL US: Webcrawlerspod@gmail.comLEAVE US A VOICEMAIL: 626-604-6262__JOIN OUR DISCORD: https://discord.com/invite/VNGJnHr—FOLLOW US: Twitter / Instagram / Reddit / Facebook—JOIN OUR PATREON: HERE—MERCH: https://webcrawlerspod.com—Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/webcrawlers. Self-proclaimed comedians Ali Segel and Melissa Stetten discuss unsolved mysteries, creepy cults, paranormal experiences and everything in between. “They maintain a loose, upbeat dynamic as they fall down rabbit holes, which means listeners can comfortably dip their toes into the deeply unsettling and unexplained, but won’t walk away feeling, well, haunted.” (Vanity Fair, 2020) Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/webcrawlers.
