On this episode we sat down with Mike Jones of Primal Canine. As you can see from his bio Mike has a lot going on. We cover a wide range of topics from Mike’s early interests and passions as it relates to working with behavioral issues in troubled dogs to the development of K9 Street league to fatherhood. We also cover his relationship with Ray Allen Manufacturing and his upcoming ground game seminar. Mike touches on the intricacies of what he is teaching through the ground game process “HIIT”. We feel confident that you’ll enjoy the conversation we had with Mike.Mike Jones is the owner and head trainer of Primal Canine which was established in 2013. Mike has been working with dogs since he was 13 years old starting with shelter and stray dogs, he worked his way up to apprenticing under Terry Macias, The President of the San Jose German Shepherd Club. Soon after, Primal Canine was created in San Jose offering various services like behavior modification, puppy training, service dog training, obedience, sport bite work, personal protection, and more. Mike and Primal Canine can now be found in Gilroy, CA where he also has created professional dog sport K9 Street League sponsored by Ray Allen Manufacturing, The Canine University as an online leaning library for training, War Room - a business and brand consulting service, Carpe Omnia clothing company, Drinks and Dogs podcast, as well as the new K9SL podcast launching soon. Mike spends time working closely in partnership with Ray Allen doing research, design and development for various products. He created the Primal Canine decoy leather gauntlets, the line of INCOG training gear and helped design and test Ray Allen’s latest semi-comp bite suit. We wind up this episode with our first bourbon tasting.
