Mike Hoffman has returned to practice with the team. Carey Price skated on his own without equipment this week. Brendan Gallagher and Sami Niku tested positive for COVID-19 and are quarantining for 10 days (missing five games). Josh Anderson suffered an upper-body injury and will be out for two to four weeks. Jeff Petry did not travel to Nashville due to an upper-body injury. Alexander Romanov broke his nose in Thursday's game against the Avalanche. Canadiens have recalled Laurent Dauphin and Corey Schueneman (0 GP-NHL) from the Laval Rocket.

Molson cleans house - Geoff Molson fired EVP & GM Marc Bergevin, Assistant GM Trevor Timmins and Senior VP Communications & Public Affairs, Paul Wilson. Assistant GM Scott Mellanby resigned after Molson reneged on a promised promotion. 
Hockey news and notes - A Canadiens fan registered his frustration with the Canadiens by tossing a jersey and a hat on the ice during the game against the Avalanche. It sent shockwaves through the players and fanbase.
