Description

Dylan is out of town and this week I’m hanging out with my friends…. and this week’s episode is coincidentally all about friendships. If you’re in your twenties, or thirties (or have ever been in your twenties or thirties), chances are you’ve dealt with friendship drama. Friendship breakups, toxic friendships, trying to maintain long-distance friendships — the friendship topic is one everyone’s hungry to talk about. It can feel so lonely when a friendship you’ve had since you were 3 no longer feels fun or healthy, or when you come to terms with the reality that most of your friends move away, get into relationships, or become busy with work and can no longer answer your 911 call as quickly. This week we have Host of Nightly Pop on E! Nina Parker on the show and we got into the good stuff. As I said we talked A LOT about our friendships and how to navigate the aforementioned shittiness. We talked about moving to a new city and feeling lonely, the deliciousness of canceling plans, and how to know if your job is the root of your unhappiness. Aside from her work as a co-host on E!, Nina created the first Black- woman-owned brand to design a plus-size line exclusively for Macy's, The Nina Parker Collection. Parker has made numerous television appearances as a pop culture expert on popular shows like Wendy Williams and The Talk, and as an occasional host for Access Live on NBC. To continue the conversation and for more about the podcast and my life, you can find me: https://www.instagram.com/jadeiovine/ Executive Producer Nick StumpfProduced by Catherine LawEdited and Engineered by Brandon Dickert Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.comSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Tell Me About It is the podcast manifestation of all the “off-the-record” conversations we’ve had with other women about things we’re taught to stay silent about -- from stumbling through our twenties, rejections, heartbreaks, fertility struggles, mental health challenges, mistakes, and the cringey shame spirals that keep us up at night. Host Jade Iovine and her guests challenge the idea of social media perfected lives and get very real about all the less-than-perfect and inevitable shitty moments we all go through. Tell Me About It is here to remind us that we’re not alone… and that the women we constantly compare ourselves to ALSO have lives that are far from perfect.
