It feels appropriate that the Cleveland Guardians have at least one postseason game rained out after a year of more rainouts than I have seen in my years as a fan. We get into the talk that came out today about the compressed schedule. We get into why most think it will benefit the Cleveland Guardians, but in what ways it also hurts them. The New York Yankees also have their own set of issues that this rain delay will bring up due to their pitching depth issues.

We spend some more time on the matchup and get into our different views on which team has the advantage tomorrow. We also get into why each of us have different feelings on how much tomorrow’s game is a crux for the whole series. This matchup should be incredibly close and the hope is that Cleveland can finally find a way much as they did against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Guardians have gone from an 18 percent strikeout rate the lowest in all of baseball to a rate over 30% which would have been the highest by nearly five percent in the regular season.

We end with a mailbag and while I wanted to focus on the postseason the listeners were focused on the offseason. We talk about the matchup a little between the Aces. We get into who should be considered for extensions. Who would be ideal trade targets and which minor league shortstop do we think has the brightest future?
