It has happened again. I sit down to record how the Guardians are going to lose and somehow they come from behind and win yet another big game to take a one-game lead in the American League Central. We really dig into why I hated the choice to send in Anthony Castro and why from the moment it happened I had a bad feeling. But a funny thing starts to happen in this inning and all of a sudden the game doesn’t look quite so out of reach.

We continue to focus on the game and how the Guardians might end up tying this one up. I talk about why I agreed with Ernie Clement pinch-running, and also why I hated having Andres Gimenez bunt. We talk about some of the top performers this season, a few I had singled out last offseason as under-the-radar trade targets. The Guardians make me look like a happy, moron pulling out the win.

We continue to talk about how to improve the Guardians. The consistent view is that they need to add a hitter, and while catcher is the most glaring hole on the team. I express why it is that a starting pitcher might be the biggest need for this team even though they are also the most loaded with pitching in the upper minors I have ever seen any team have.
