The Minnesota Wild lost their season opener 7-3 to the New York Rangers at Xcel Energy Center. The Rangers scored 3 times in the first period, including a Chris Kreider Power Play goal and the Wild were playing catch up all game long. Matt Boldy scored twice and Mats Zuccarello added a goal for the Wild, who host Los Angeles on Saturday.
