Description
True Crime Month continues with a look at Justin Kurzel's first cinematic foray that landed him the job directing Assassin's Creed, Snowtown. The film follows Jamie as he is drawn into the charismatic orbit of John Bunting, a homophobic vigilante looking to dole out justice to Australia's pedophiles and homosexuals. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride that doesn't let up and is hard to watch at times. As always, you can follow Chris Stachiw on Twitter at@KultureStach, Sean Liang at @Seannifer and Kulture Shocked at @KultureShocked. The music is Wovoka's "Lament," and big thanks to them for allowing us to use their song. You can also subscribe to the Kulturecast on iTunes here.
