The Miami Hurricanes continue to find new ways to lose. The Canes fell 27-24 at home to the North Carolina Tar Heels. They held Drake Maye and the Heels offense to a season low 27 points. Miami saw a big bounce back from quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who threw for 496 yards and 3 touchdowns, but still found a way to lose the game. 
Host Alex Donno breaks down the top factors to Miami’s defeat. The Hurricanes were just 8 for 20 on 3rd and 4th downs, they had another catastrophic red zone trip that led to a UNC goal line stand, and they committed turnovers at the worst possible times, like a Jaylan Knighton 4th down fumble. Donno maintains that the effort was not a problem this time around and the quarterback and the defense played well enough to win. A huge issue was Miami’s running game only managing 41 yards on a measly 1.8 yards per carry. 
Alex explains why we have no choice but to be patient with the coaches and the administration despite such a disappointing start. The athletic department appears to be doing everything necessary to bring the football program back to glory. Perhaps it will take more than a few months to get it where it needs to be.
