The Los Angeles Angels and Shohei Ohtani reached an agreement of $30 million for the 2023 season, avoiding arbitration and showing a sign of good faith on both sides! Not only that, but Ohtani took a no-hitter into the 8th against the Oakland A's last week, proving his AL MVP case even further, and he continued his hit streak into Sunday with 17 games! Then, the Halos completed 2 sweeps in a row and won 7 games in a row, a season high! They battled the Texas Rangers and had stellar performances from Taylor Ward, Shohei, Logan O'Hoppe, Liván Soto, and Mike Trout, who hit his 39th home run of the season! The pitching was solid as well, with Reid Detmers finishing the year with a win and José Suarez taking a perfect game into the 7th inning on Saturday.
