"The Budos Band" are a psychedelic, afrobeat rock outfit from Staten Island, New York.Boasting a line-up of 9 musicians, The Budos members originally met through various musical connections in New York City, starting as far back as the mid 90's. Through neighborhood jams, various name changes, and a shared love for afrobeat inspired music, the group finally released their self-titled debut album in 2005, on the legendary funk and soul label Daptone Records.
