Denise's experiences, both personal and professional, led her to obtain her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia.
In 2018, Denise began a clinical internship with Laurel House then continued working with them as an individual, group and financial counselor. She has offered group counseling for young adults (ages 18-24) who have been affected by intimate partner violence.
Denise is now running a new program called the “Economic Justice and Empowerment Program” that will empower survivors in financial safety and career matters. Financial abuse occurs in 99% of all abusive marriages. A real 99%. 
Denise makes such an informative interview. So glad she wanted to speak with us.
