He is an author of several books, professonial speaker, and mental health advocate. He has overcome many obstaces in his life. From growing up in a single parent household in a crime infested neighborhood. He struggled in school and his teachers discouraged him telling him he wasn't college material. He saw joining the military as one of the only opportunties available to him. He describes what life in the military was like. He went through a painful divorce while in combat. That caused him to hit rock bottom. He lets us know how he overcame it. He was hit with more bricks after that. He shares how he overcame it all. The paradigm shift he made and what helped him keep going. How he changed careers and what gave him encouragement. He describes what he is doing to help young people today. Everyone remembers where they were on that fateful day Sept 11th, 2001 in NYC when a terrorist attack shocked the world. I’m personally going to take you back WITH me to Tower One of the World Trade Center when shock, terror, flames, and chaos burst into the building. I was on the 78th-floor sky lobby when that first plane crashed into the building. It felt like a huge bomb had just exploded as I was blown right off my feet. All lights instantly went out. The elevators were engorged with flames while the building filled with smoke. On that day, 658 of my Cantor Fitzgerald co-workers—many of whom were also my friends—who were sitting at their desks were brutally murdered that day. I was one of the few lucky ones who survived, and my life totally changed instantly and it will never be the same.
