For 2021 there are projected to be over 36,000 acres planted between the fall and summer seasons. This makes strawberries consistently one of the top 10 agricultural commodities grown in California.

Strawberries are irrigated in several ways. What you use to irrigate them, how you irrigate and when you irrigate all make a difference in the quality and yield of the strawberries you grow. In addition, new technology shows how proper irrigation improves pest management as well. This week we are taking a hard look at the best ways to irrigate strawberries with Frank Toves.
