Feminist Question Time with speakers from Germany, USA and UK

Women's Declaration International (WDI) Feminist Question Time is our weekly online webinars. It is attended by a global feminist and activist audience of between 200-300. The main focus is how gender ideology is harming the rights of women and girls. You can see recordings of previous panels on our YouTube Channel. WDI is the leading global organisation defending women’s sex-based rights against the threats posed by gender identity ideology. There is more information on the website womensdeclaration.com where you will find our Declaration on Women’s Sex-based rights, which has been signed by more 30,000 people from 157 countries and is supported by 418 organisations.

This week’s speakers:

Ilse Jacobsen - Germany - The misrepresentation of scientific facts and promotion of gender ideology by public broadcasting in Germany - Outside of Twitter, gender ideology and self-ID are not discussed in Germany. The topic is rarely adressed by the press, including public broadcasting. If it is covered by the media, however, pieces are commonly one-sided and/or factually incorrect. As part of a small team, we've collected numerous examples from public broadcasting institutions in which (1) scientific facts around sex are misrepresented, including the claim that "sex is a spectrum". (2) Our collection demonstrates a lack of critical thinking around gender ideology, (3) defamation of gender critical voices as "TERFs" and "bigots", and (4) idealization of the transition of children and teenagers. We are convinced that this is driven by ideologues working in public broadcasting and constitutes a breach of the purpose of German public broadcasting, which is to provide factually correct information to the public to facilitate democratic discussions and formation of opinions independent of political agendas.
I'll provide examples of how science and the discussion of gender ideology are misrepresented by public broadcasting, and how we try to tackle this problem.
