1. We are back to focusing on the Cleveland Guardians but we start talking about prospects first talking about Daniel Espino who we hope returns quickly. Nolan Jones and Joey Cantillo also had big nights on Wednesday so we talk about them both. The Athletics then bring in Zach Jackson so we talk about when the Guardians acquired their own Zach Jackson and what we should have learned starting with the CC Sabathia trade where they go Zach Jackson and every trade since it has affected. The continued excellence of Oscar Gonzalez also leads to talk about Roger Maris, who came up with Cleveland and then was traded in what turned out to be a not-terrible trade for Cleveland.
2. We talk about the game as it is occurring, but also focus on the Texas Rangers series discussing the Guardians taking two of three from one of the teams that won the offseason. We talk about who performed well and who has not, and why this might have been the most important Shane Bieber start of the year.
3. We end up watching the Cleveland Guardians take the lead against the Athletics. For the third time, they come back and ended up winning 8-4. Even though they won I still hate bunting. In addition, as I was recording I missed Oscar Gonzalez pulling up lame so ignore my pinch-running statements. The Guardians are now just one game out of the wildcard.
