The second round has been an utter disaster for the Cleveland Baseball Squad. Nothing shows this better than when the organization gave up a pick to sign 42-year-old Roberto Perez The Mets used that pick to sign a local player from St. Edwards. The player took one spot before Giancarlo Stanton, the player took one spot after Freddie Freeman. 

We continue digging into why the Guardians have forfeited second-round picks over the years, before talking about the best second-rounder, the worst second-rounders, and who has been the most expensive one. The Guardians have found three All-Stars in round two and not much else beyond that. 

We go through the entire round highlighting the two second-round picks that failed to sign along with who was the top player taken with each selection in the round. The data shows the only time they have really had success is in the early to mid-teens.
