We discuss the Minor League Part of the Rule 5 draft as it will happen on Wednesday. Last year the Guardians did select a player (Chris Roller), so it bears watching as they might select a player again this year. 

We continue our series looking at why top prospects have failed to become regular starters in the big leagues. We look at two first basemen both drafted in 2007 that failed to make an impact in Beau Mills and Matt LaPorte.

We come back and look at another first-rounder from 2007 in Nick Hagadone who also didn’t live up to expectations and explain what went wrong with a big lefty who seemed as safe as they come when he was acquired from the Red Sox. He seemed to have the floor of an elite reliever.
