Description

Tamra Lucid is a founding member of the experimental rock band Lucid Nation.  She was a writer and editor for Newtopia Magazine and the principal interviewer for the original Reality Sandwich.  She has produced documentary films, including Exile Nation:  The Plastic People, End of the Line:  The Women of Standing Rock, and the award-wining Viva Cuba Libre:  Rap Is War.  She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, musician and writer Ronnie Pontiac. In this episode, we focus on her new book, Making the Ordinary Extraordinary:  My Seven Year in Occult Los Angeles with Manly Palmer Hall, which Mitch Horowitz has called "A compelling written portrait of a life of one of the most significant occult voices of the last century."
