Ed & Al head to their hometown to get Ed’s automail repaired. At a stop along the way, Armstrong notices a familiar face—a state alchemist who’s been in hiding. The boys take the opportunity to talk to the medical alchemy expert about his research. Though he regrets his work, he points the boys in the direction of where to find his notes.
