Description
This week is a somber episode on the podcast. With the current events in America, our podcast is 100% supportive of the #BlackLivesMatter movement. What is happening in our country right now is disgusting and wrong. We tried to use today's episode as a platform for the right thing and to step up for the oppressed. As three white males in America, we are privileged, and it's wrong. With our platform, we said what we believed, but we want to do more. On behalf of the podcast, we will be donating $50 to the Black Lives Matter Movement, we encourage our listeners to do the same. The regulars watched Sorry to Bother You, a 2018 social commentary made by Boots Riley, starring Lakeith Stanfield. We talked about the strengths of this movie, basing around the themes, coloring, and acting. We nit-picked some of the weaknesses from Boots Riley's first film. More importantly, we covered the vast and deep themes of racism in this movie and how it related to modern-day America. We hope you enjoy. #BlackLivesMovement #JusticeForGeorgeFloydTwitter: @theturboteampod, @jakebrend32, @alex30powell, @benneezy, @VikingGraphicsInstagram: @jakebrend32, @alexpxwell, @benneezy, @VikingGraphics
