Many people think of climate change as being a future problem, but that’s not the case. Climate change has become a major part of our economy. In 2020, 4.7 million structures were impacted from an insurance perspective because of climate change. Insurance premiums are increasing, people are losing opportunities to work, and businesses are being disrupted. The federal government is now shouldering a larger burden than the insurance industry and taxpayers are paying the price. But, there is something we can do!
