Description

As a high school science teacher, Caroline Lewis was passionate about breaking down complex science into simple consumable nuggets of information. She expanded her work outside schools to design programs that drove youth to ask questions, and help the disengaged become engaged. Caroline founded CLEO Institute in 2010, and later developed the GenCLEO youth advocacy group composed of students coming together to advocate for environmental justice and climate change solutions. Through the program, students learn about the latest climate science from reputable and vetted sources, and increase their advocacy and communication skills through training and engagement opportunities. Today’s youth are looking to hold elected officials accountable, and work together to build a brighter future. GenCLEO provides them with the tools, skills, and resources to help them find their voice. GenCLEO Extinction Rebellion Just Back Off and Let Us Teach
