Description
To train up for his badge… Joe endured pepper spray in his eyes, getting tazed, a “fight for your life scenario”, but that’s nothing compared to the journey he’s had in pursuing a relationship with God.
Joe moved around a lot as a kid. His family settled in sixth grade in Wichita, going to Catholic schools throughout all of the moves. Learning about the faith was good, but he was always seeking a deep connection with classmates. He was bullied, harassed, and emotionally abused; therefore, he disengaged from his emotions to cope with it all. As time went on, he found ways to re-engage his emotions and hear the power in his own story as a part of the history of salvation.
Show notes:
- Joe was involved with the Newman Center at KSU. You can’t not hear his amazing recording voice.
- For more of it, tune into his very own podcast about the Saints, entitled The Heavenly Social.
Favorite quote on the show… “getting OC sprayed, I call that Satan urinating in your eyes...”
