Description
This week, we take a look at a fundamental problem plaguing local, state, and federal emergency response agencies. For decades, minority communities have been forced to face the brunt of disaster impacts with little to no assistance from the agencies that all of us rely on for emergency assistance. This episode takes a look at the racial disparities that minorities and at-risk communities face on a daily basis. Disasters of the past and future will continue to affect minority communities far more than richer communities and will be expected to recover with little to no outside assistance.
