Description

THIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL REVIEW. Please check out the full review on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture

For this month's Patreon Last Best Picture review on the Next Best Picture Podcast, I am joined by Josh Parham, Dan Bayer, Cody Dericks and two Patreon guests, Daniel Brilliant & Andrew Puhr. In the aftermath of "Green Book" winning Best Picture and being called the worst Best Picture winner since "Crash," it almost feels too coincidental that Paul Haggis' film on race relations in contemporary Los Angeles won the poll for this month. We have a lot to say on this one resulting in a final recording time of 1:45:00 on our thoughts on the film, what it gets right versus what it gets wrong, the performances, writing, editing and of course, its historic Best Picture win over the critical favorite that year "Brokeback Mountain."
