Description
Our next International Women's Day week episode is with the phenomenal former England captain and coach Dr Jane Powell - perhaps the only person to hold this achievement! As a batter, Jane starred in six Test matches and 24 ODIs with a high score of 115* against India. Jane has further experiences playing with Young England. As captain of the 1988 World Cup side, England finished runners up, an achievement that Jane now recognises as hugely important in driving that 1993 World Cup win on home soil!
Jane is a formidable woman who deserves to be celebrated for both her on and off pitch heroics. As a leader now in the world of lacrosse, Jane is certainly driving the changes towards lacrosse becoming a gender-balanced sport.
We hope you enjoy our fourth episode of this week celebrating women in cricket.
