Description

Episode 61 featuring singer Liz Eldredge from the band Even In Blackouts. This is Liz’s first solo interview in her 19 year career with EIB, so it is something special. In this interview we talk about The Southside of Chicago and it’s Children’s Choir, visiting the Vatican, life on the road, the nurturing of a strange punk acoustic style, the benefits of earplugs on singing stoned, Spanish Television, a ten year hiatus and her writing relationship with the members of her band. I will admit this particular podcast is even more personal than usual. Liz is my long time friend and frontwoman for my band, and that private relationship of course mingles with my interview style in this podcast. I hope you enjoy it.www.jugheadsbasementpodcast.com

Jughead's Basement is hosted by Screeching Weasel, Mopes, and Even In Blackouts' co-founder John Jughead Pierson.  The podcast has three subcategories: Dissections of punk records.  Long-form interviews of punk & alternative musicians, comedians, and underground performers.  Plus, lastly, an old fashion radio adventure that tells the twisted tale of two men attached to one body roaming an unknown mansion meeting and interviewing different guests every episode.
