Description

First, Scott sits down with Violet Benson – AKA DaddyIssues – to discuss how she grew from nothing into one of the biggest comedic voices online. She shares with Scott how she monetized the brand and built her own unique voice. Violet remembers growing up in Russia, immigrating to the United States, and how being bullied led her to comedy. When Violet was miserable at her accounting job, she started a meme account on Instagram. Within four years, her social media went viral, she amassed over 4 million Instagram followers, and Joe Jonas as her first celebrity follower kicked off her professional influencing career. Violet and Scott also talk about her dating life and Demi Lovato’s “Daddy Issues” song that was inspired by her DaddyIssues Instagram account.
In the last part of the episode, Scott sits with his friend and artist James Goldcrown, who has been creating art for the last 20 years. Most recently, he has gained popularity for his murals of hearts, endearing called “Love Walls.” James has been commissioned for murals and gallery shows worldwide and collaborated with major brands like Rag and Bone, Macy’s, and Revlon.
