Description

On February 6, 2021, 26-year old Keyla Martinez was detained by Honduran police. The next day, the police claimed that Keyla had hung herself inside the detention cell in the police station where she was being held. The case quickly became a national scandal. Conflicting evidence surfaced that calls into question the version of the Honduran police. In this episode of the podcast, we hear interviews with Keyla's family who are fighting for justice and learn about the failed U.S.-funded efforts to "clean-up" the Honduran police force.Check out the show notes at: hondurasnow.orgFollow us on Instagram for regular stories about daily activities and events in Honduras: @hondurasnowSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/honduras-now-podcast/donations
