Description
News broke today that this years Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year Emoni Bates has committed to playing for Tom Izzo and MSU Basketball. The only thing – he technically still has 2 years left in high school. We were joined by Kyle Austin from MLive to hear about Emoni’s reasoning for choosing MSU, how Tom Izzo has had this in the works for a while now, and what the next couple years might look like for Emoni. We were joined by Kyle Austin and Tim Staudt in our first hour to get all of the details on the great get by Tom Izzo and the Spartans. We took all of your comments on Emoni throughout the entire show today.
In our second hour, the conversation kept rolling regarding the recent news about Emoni Bates committing to playing for Tom Izzo and MSU Basketball. First, we were joined by Chris Balas to get his thoughts from a Wolverine standpoint. He told us whether he thought Howard would’ve been able to get Bates if he had the head start Izzo did. We were then joined by Jim Comparoni to hear even more about Emoni’s decision and how he got to that point.
In our final hour today, Huge discussed the 1 year deal that the New England Patriots just signed Cam Newton to. We were joined by Mike O'Hara to get his thoughts on how Cam will handle playing for New England, and even how Mike thinks he'll do once he goes up against Brady and the Bucs. Dr. K from Metro Health then joined us with a Covid-19 update on how it's affecting sports and our daily lives. We ended the show today with Xavier DeGroat - Xavier has done something truly impressive to better help autistic men and women when they're thrown into a position regarding law enforcement in this great state.
