The second season of House of Cards has begun, and good gravy is it a doozy.  We wondered how they’d top the shocking death of Pete Russo from last season, and well, we’re not wondering that anymore.  Frank gets pragmatically ruthless, Claire casts some blood magic, cursing Gillian’s womb, Stamper takes the gloves off with Rachel, Zoe, Jeanine, and Lucas get a lesson on the dangers of playing politics, and we’re introduced to a new player that Frank is grooming to take over his old Whip spot.
