Description
When it comes to sexual harassment and other allegations, Hollywood and the music industry has been (rightfully so) under heavy attack in the past couple of years.
But, we are so quick to judge and to point fingers at those that have been accused for being garbage human beings, without any real proof. In the case of Datsik, there have been accusations made, through Twitter about what has happened on his tour bus. But it's all heresay. Most of the accusations come from "a friend of a friend" and of course the huge damning evidence of the backstage passes themselves which have "TUL$A" written on them. If you look at the picture I've included, the "L" on TUL$A is written backwards. on the other picture, you can clearly see "A" has been scratched out.
Are these just made up or are they the real thing? My gut instinct says that these pictures were created to add fuel to the fire. Yet, Datsik lost sponsors, stepped down from his postion at his record label, and canceled his tour.
Yet, TakashI69 (google him), confessed to rape and is a pedofile (convicted) and still continues to tour and make music. So what's the real story? Well, it's somewhere in between. Did the stuff happen? You can bet that the TUL$A thing did happen. This stuff with artists touring has been going on since touring was invented. This isn't new and for people to get all up in arms about it, as if it were some mighty revelation of a hidden secret is a sham. Groupies exist. It's part and parcel of the game.
We go after artists like Datsik, because it's easy. They're the sacrificial lambs so that there isn't a deeper investigation into the music industry and there should be.
BTW, another group that was arrested and charged with rape was the Death Metal/ Black Metal group Decapitated. They were found innocent after almost 8 months.
