Polymath is a decentralized platform that makes it easy to create security tokens. The Security Token Standard (ERC1400) spearheaded by Polymath embeds regulatory requirements into the tokens themselves, restricting trading to authorized participants only. There has been a great deal of hype surrounding blockchain and crypto. But there is an argument that the technology is underhyped rather than overhyped. So what is holding back progress? The success of any new technology is often determined by the level of mainstream adoption. If blockchain and crypto are going to shake its image problem and get more businesses on board, we need to have more conversations. These are just a few reasons why I invited Graeme Moore onto the podcast. Graeme is the author of B is for Bitcoin which was the first-ever ABC book about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The book enabled readers to learn their ABCs while also learning about open, global, transnational, borderless, censorship-resistant, permissionless, digital money. Here in 2019, Graeme is the Head of Tokenization for Polymath, the decentralized platform that makes it easy to create security tokens and conduct security token offerings. The platform simplifies the complex technical challenges of creating a security token and aims to bring the multi-trillion dollar financial securities market to the blockchain. Earlier this year, Polymath also announced Polymesh, a purpose-built security token blockchain, in collaboration with Charles Hoskinson, Co-Founder of Ethereum and Cardano.
