Description
On this week's 'Between the Lines' programme, Andrea is joined by a panel of experts to discuss children and screen-time.
Together they discuss if the amount of time a child spends using electronic devices - whether they are watching TV, playing video-games or using the Internet or social media - is directly related to increasing levels of anxiety in children.
They also look into how much internet use or screen-time impacts in their child's development and what parents can do to regulate children's screen time to find a healthy balance.
Colman Noctor, Child and adolescent psychotherapist at St Patrick’s Mental Health Service;
Dr Claire Hayes, Consultant clinical psychologist, lecturer, author of “Hope in the Age of Anxiety";
Jane McGarrigle, Project Officer with Webwise.
