Why are "prescription diet" pet foods called prescription? Especially when there is not a trace of medication to be found.

This is a huge marketing scheme, the targeted marketing that I was talking about, where it's like, they know these vets have influence over you. This is what gives them the edge on their food. Because when you look at their food and look at the formulation of the E and we'll look at this here shortly of some of these prescription diets, they have almost identical formulations for half the cost. In the grocery store aisle.
