Description

Aliza Kelly sits down with Kim Krans, artist behind the iconic Wild Unknown Tarot Deck and author of the graphic memoir Blossoms and Bones, which explores Kim's spiral into eating disorder and subsequent recovery. During this episode, the two discuss the misunderstanding of time, lunar food, and the suffocation of capitalism through the lens of Kim’s art and her journey with her eating disorder. Mothering and care—for both the self and others—have become devoid of “value” in a society obsessed with getting richer and climbing the corporate ladder. Under capitalism, we’ve buried our Mothers and glorified watered-down success stories that are easily monetized and codified as self-fulfillment. In order to heal and become whole, we must hold space for our entire story, which includes tension, messiness, nourishment, and endless cycles of shadow and light.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands
