The three-headed monster of Josef Martinez, Tito Villalba and Miguel Almiron each found the net as Atlanta United beat the Columbus Crew at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the first time in a 3-1 win on Sunday afternoon.
Atlanta United got back to their winning ways and got back to the top of the Supporters’ Shield standings with a 3-1 win over the Columbus Crew on Sunday evening. Josef Martinez tied the MLS single-season goals record in the first half before Gyasi Zardes equalized for the visitors just after the half. Tito Villalba’s individual brilliance gave the Five Stripes the lead again and then Miguel Almiron iced the three points with a lovely finish.
