Featuring four categories : Fiction, Non Fiction, Children’s and the Classic Award. With a donation of £1,000.00 to an independent charity from this award category, The Barker Book Awards is set to celebrate dogs in literature both past and present, whilst giving back to dogs in need. Nominated charities welcomed!.These Awards represent using dogs in a literary way to educate, to reveal human emotions, highlight dogs as detectives, dogs as heroes, dogs as villains, or dogs just fuelling our imagination.Entries close on January 31st , so check out the links below to enter your favourite doggy classic, whether its The Wizard of Oz or Lassie Come Home.The Awards are being judged by Anna Webb and Broadcaster Jo Good.
