Description

The weekend was filled with good news for Islanders fans and we break it all down. First, it was announced that construction will soon resume on the Isles new home near Belmont Park. It had been suspended since late March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Then, Governor Cuomo announced that NY-based sports teams have been given the go-ahead to open training camps. We will fill you in as soon as the Isles begin informal workouts at their facility.
We also look at our Islander of the day: Brad Turner, who is celebrating his birthday today. We look back at his NHL debut.
And we take our first trip back in our Time Machine to 1980 and look back at how Ken Morrow helped the Islanders to their first Stanley Cup win just after being a part of the Miracle On Ice at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid.
