Description
Welcome to the latest Guerillashire which comes to you in two halves.
Despite the rain, the climax of the county season so nearly provided a show worthy of bringing down the curtain on cricket’s magnificent summer. In part 1 Tony Bishop, assisted by Annie Chave, Tasneem-Summer Khan and Paul Howarth celebrate a triumphant double win for champions Essex and commiserate with the perennial nearly men of Somerset. The bones are well and truly picked over where the title was won and lost!
In the second half, as the days get shorter, and the early morning air crisper and colder, the world of county cricket continues to warm us as we focus on Hampshire and champions Essex. Host Tony guides the discussion as Ian Pearce and Tas select their all time England teams from each county. Ian plays a straight bat for Hampshire as the likes of Phil Mead and Derek Shackleton cross the white line with all time greats like Robin Smith and David Gower. Tas throws away the rule book and provides a more modern all time Essex eleven that may well delight or bemuse Essex fans in equal measure.
