This June celebrates the 50th anniversary of the passing of Title IX - a federal civil rights law passed in 1972 prohibiting sex-based discrimination in any school or other educational program that receives funding from the federal government. Sandra and Lisa welcome USWNT midfielder Sam Mewis to the show to discuss Title IX, how it impacted Sam and what the future of the sport will look like in the next 50 years. Sam discusses her experience playing NCAA Division I soccer, the NWSL’s very first CBA and the most recent news out of U.S. Soccer and USWNT settlement for equal pay.
